Author Guidelines

Submission Requirements

SOMAJ follows rigorous academic standards. Please ensure your submission meets the following requirements:

1. Manuscript Format

• Manuscripts should be submitted in PDF format
• Use 12-point font, double-spaced, with 1-inch margins
• Include page numbers
• Maximum length: 8,000 words (excluding references)

2. Title and Abstract

• Title should be concise and descriptive (maximum 150 characters)
• Abstract: 150-300 words
• Include 3-6 keywords

3. Author Information

• List all authors with full names and affiliations
• Provide email address for corresponding author
• Include ORCID IDs if available

4. References

• Use APA (7th edition) citation style
• All references must be cited in the text
• Include DOI for all referenced articles when available

5. Figures and Tables

• All figures and tables must be numbered and captioned
• High-resolution images (minimum 300 DPI)
• Include source information for all figures/tables

6. Ethical Considerations

• Research involving human subjects must include ethics approval
• Disclose any conflicts of interest
• Ensure all data is original or properly cited
• No plagiarism will be tolerated

7. Review Process

All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review process:

• Initial editorial review (1-2 weeks)
• Peer review by 2-3 experts (4-8 weeks)
• Revision period if required
• Final decision and publication
